Re: Sib 8.3.0 Mac Display Bug
Yes, you worked it out. I have to say that it's not Sibelius' fault. Apple made a number of serioys changes to their OS some years ago that ensure that older versions of Sib do not work with later versions of MacOS. It caused quite a furore at the time. Either 1. Get a cheap pc to run only Sibelius ...

Re: Issue with ties when changing the voice of a note
I take it this is a drum part? In which case, change all notes to quavers. Then you can change the snare notes to voice 1 without the extra tied notes. If you still have hanging ties, select all and then press the enter key on your key pad TWICE. It is a toggle. It will tie every note then untie them.

Re: Sibelius (or Bluetooth or Windows) dropping the ball?
Sibelius has had this kind of issue virtually since the invention of bluetooth. It will simply not reconnect once the bluetooth device disconnects. A restart of the program is the only way. I've never had a satisfactory relationship with it in over 30 years. There's always a lag. I just content myse...

The simplest way would be to copy it onto a usb flash drive and use that to transfer it to your laptop.

Re: MIDI Recording and Playback Delays/Latency
Well, I'm sorry, but the answer is "You get what you pay for; and you pay for what you get!"
Sibelius first is not worth anything. So many useful features are missing that you really shouldn't give it house room.

Re: Score correctly displayed only in Panorama view
A picture paints 1000 words. I just visited the official forum and saw your posts there. This happens often with older scores opened in newer versions of sibelius. The original staff size gets lost. In Layout, reduce the staff size until you get a better fit and increase the page size to something t...

Re: Sibelius 7 notes modulate on their own
I don't have much knowledge of current keyboards as these days I generally just use the typing keyboard to get my ideas on paper (I don't have much coordinaton left on my left side). My last keyboard, which I still have, is an M-Audio, but it's just gathering dust. Basically, you pays yer money and ...

Select all
Unlock format
Rest note spacing
Reset space above/below
Go through and replace any line breaks that you specifically want.
This sounds like the result of musicxml import or overzealous formatting.

Re: Sibelius 7 notes modulate on their own
Is the keyboard fairly old? Then maybe it's time to replace it. If not, you'd have to get in touch with the manufacturer to see if there's a solution.

Re: Sibelius 7 notes modulate on their own
Yes. It only takes a microscopic misalignment to cause it. Also, some keyboards seem to interfere with the pitch if they have previously been used without being reset. The only way to know for sure is to disconnect it from the computer. Here's just one example of many: https://www.sibelius.com/cgi-b...

Re: Sibelius 7 notes modulate on their own
Do you have a MIDI keyboard attached? A common complaint is about controller/mod wheels moving or being moved accidentally. You should try using sib with the keyboard disconnected.

Did you do the change of playback setting? Set all of your lyrics to play back on all 8 passes.

Re: Highlighting one voice
As far as I know, sibelius can only highlight one system/staff at a time. A thought: if you go into panorama mode and triple-click the staff, you might be able to apply the highlight the whole tenor staff. Ok. I'm an old fool! Triple-click an empty part of the staff (not in a multirest) the entire s...

Re: Export MIDI missed some lyrics
I appreciate that it may not be into the same program, but if the change allows Cubase to import the lyrics correctly (your original file did as you described) then there's a chance that your program might also be able to do so. Sibelius is still in the dark ages regarding midi. When I imported your...

Re: Export MIDI missed some lyrics
OK. I've had a play. Although it doesn't seem to affect the first set of lyrics, Cubase will import the missing lyrics if you set their play on pass to all 8 times. I'm not sure what the point is of setting them to anything other than that, as they don't make a sound. Interestingly, Dorico won't tak...
